For those of you new to the beauty of Pacifica, we are small but we have the largest ratio of open space to population on the San Francisco Peninsula. Just a 20 minute drive from San Francisco, the five valleys that comprise the City of Pacifica are surrounded by government protected open space to the East and the beautiful Pacific Ocean to the West. From within the city limits, visitors have access to several wonderful parks and recreation areas. The distinct points and coves along the Pacifica coastline, allow for numerous watersports and activities. Pacifica is one of the most beautiful coastal towns in all of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is here where locals as well as out of town visitors can step into the natural world of enchanting beaches and hillsides. Pacifica is where you can hike the spectacular protected hillsides, with the best views of the Pacific Ocean that anyone could possinly imagine, or you can experience the hidden treasures of our scenic beaches and breathtaking coastal bluffs. Surfcasting, pier fishing, and crabbing are specialties of Pacifica. If you are just looking for fun, golfing, hiking, biking, hang gliding, surfing or short excursions, Pacifica has it all.
